 Paying respects
« Thread Started on Nov 30, 2006, 12:25pm »

I rode alone, mounted on my loyal steed, Oblivion. I was close to where the great kingdom, Vectra, once ruled. All that remained from that magnificant euphoria was only the run down castle, and the small graveyard. I was not in the mood to visit the graveyard as I found it to be a rather saddening reminder of when Vectra was bustling with life and activity...So, I decided to pay my respects by visiting the deteriorating structure instead.

Upon reaching the entrance, I dismounted my steed and allowed him to graze freely for a while, though there was not much pasture in which he could feed off. I sighed as my gaze lifted to the mighty building, memories of happier days flooded my mind and made me feel emptier inside...now all that I had was Audrina, and the coven we had built together...

I decided not to enter the building, as I was mesmerized by the contrasting feelings that I was recieving just standing outside it's walls, both inner peace and turmoil. I believed that the peace came from being near where I had considered home, and the turmoil came with the fact that it had died long ago...now it was just a reminder of paradise...just a memory, as all of Nullius will be until the butterfly is found. I closed my raven eyes and whispered into the breeze...

"Do not worry, your highness. I will bring peace and beauty back to Nullius...even if it kills me..."

I'd listen to the words he'd say,
but in his voice I heard decay,
the plastic face forced to portray,
all the insides left cold and gray,
there is a place that still remains,
it eats the fear, it eats the pain,
the sweetest price he'll have to pay,
the day the whole world went away....
